Psalm 107:29 (ESV)
29 He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
The writer of this Psalm starts with a command to praise the LORD. Then he gives several reasons why we should praise the LORD. One reason has to do with storms.
We all face storms or turbulent times, physical, mentally and spiritual. God does not promise to prevent the storms; He promises to deliver us from the storms.
Our church is in the midst of a storm; it was the threat of a storm that led to the cancellation of our Drive-In service today. But we still should be encouraged, because the LORD will “still” the storm and “hush” the waves. The wind and waves STILL KNOW HIS NAME.
