1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Most people have no problem giving thanks to God for the “good” in life. But, if we are honest with ourselves, we struggle with giving thanks “in all circumstances.”
What motivates me towards obedience is the latter part of the verse; “this is the will of God.” The enemy becomes confused and frustrated when we continue to thank God when things are not “good.”
This brings glory to God, because during those stormy days, only the LORD can give us peace in the midst of rain, hail, lighting and thunder. So,even if it is a hurricane or tornado, let’s sing hallelujah ANYHOW.
