Haggai 2:9 (Christians Standard Bible)
The final glory of this house will be greater than the first,” says the Lord of Armies. “I will provide peace in this place”—this is the declaration of the Lord of Armies.

Most of us can relate to the feelings of the people of Haggai’s day. Their place of worship had been destroyed. Many of the people who once worship there had died, and the new generation had only heard stories of the beauty of the temple.

But memories tend to become distorted or fade over time. So, God, through the prophet Haggai told His people to not lose heart. He promised to provide what was needed to build a new place of worship. This new worship center would be greater than the previous one. The “greater” God spoke of was not related to size but the quality of worship.

God’s Word for today helps us as a church family to stay focused with assurance and hope as we look forward in faith. Our prayer is that we will return to our Worship Center in full soon. And while things may be different, let's believe the quality of our experience will be greater than it was before.

Can we praise the LORD for “greater” and sing together to Him:
“There Is Nobody Greater Than You!”
