Romans 8:28 (ESV)
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose

Today's passage is one of the most quoted Scriptures in the Bible. But do we really grasp the concept of “all things.” Does it mean everything, anything, all the time? Does it include the bad things we rather not see, not be involved in, or not do?

Can COVID-19 and the death of George Floyd work for the good of those who are called according to His purpose? Both events have not only captured our attention, but are also changing our nation and the way we view life. As a church family, they have brought us closer together and caused us to refocus our priorities.

So even in these stressful times, God is working things which will result in something good. The word “good” does not mean pleasant; it refers to something that is beneficial. So, if what we are going through as a church family, brings us closer to each other and glorifies our LORD… the benefits will far outweigh the pain.
