1 John 3:10 (ESV)
By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

PASTOR’S COMMENTARY

The racial, social injustice that we have seen lately is inexcusable. But God’s Word for today lets us know that the source of hatred is demonic. The idea behind “practice righteousness” is doing the right things. It makes no difference if you wear a uniform and carry a badge, God requires that all of us do what’s right.

Children often mimic their parents. This is also true from a spiritual perspective. The “children of the devil hate.” They are void of compassion, concern, and love for others. Yes, this nation needs social reform, but more importantly, our country needs a spiritual revival. This must start with the children of God.

This Scripture teaches us that there is a clear difference between the children of God and the children of the devil. This applies to all areas of our lives, including the way we choose to protest.

Looking at what some – who claim to be Christians – are saying and doing, it is obvious that we need to have a spiritual DNA (Divine Nature Authenticity) test. This will reveal who our real father is.
