Psalm 35:17 (NKJV)
Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destructions, My precious life from the lions.

PASTOR’S COMMENTARY

The pandemic has tested the patience of many. Most of us want things to return to normal. In fact, very few people expected it to last this long. So, many of us, as Christians, can relate to the psalmist's frustration when he cries out to the LORD, “how long.

Yet, as Christians, we are not to lose hope; our trust must remain firm. God is Sovereign and has a purpose for everything. The way we handle and respond to COVID-19 should be different from those who do not believe in the LORD Jesus.

Yes, we all want this virus to end, but God’s thoughts are not like ours. To Him, a thousand years is the same as one day. So, the answer to the psalmist’s question of “how long?” As long as it takes!
