Psalm 26:7 NKJV (New King James Version)

That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving. And tell of all Your wondrous works.

Pastor's Commentary

As we prepare this week to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, my prayer is that we take time to reflect on the goodness of the LORD’s provisions. Regardless of our current situation, God has been faithful. Instead of focusing on what we don’t have, let’s just be thankful for what we do have.

In God’s Word for today, David was going through a difficult time. So he cried out to the LORD for relief. He promised the LORD that he would verbally give thanks to Him when he was vindicated. Is it any wonder why he wrote most of the psalms?

So, as we get ready for the “big” day, shopping, decorating, or cooking, let’s tell all those around us not only what we are thankful for, but also Who we are thankful to. Do you have a voice of Thanksgiving?
