1 John 1:7 ESV (English Standard Version)
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Thanksgiving Day was a testimony of the value we place on the family. Many spent money, time, and effort to be together and celebrate. It was not so much about the meal as it was about the fellowship. So, we look forward to the next time we can gather as a family despite the work and hardship.
The beauty and benefit of being brothers and sisters in Christ is the union we have with each other. We share a common bond of being covered by the blood of Jesus. While it may not be the main reason for coming together on Wednesdays and Sundays, seeing each other is special.
Even though the pandemic caused us to restrict our physical fellowship, it only increased our desire for it. It made us realize how precious it is to come together as a church family. As the old saying goes, “you don’t miss your water until the well runs dry.” We are family, and it is a blessing and a joy to see you. So, when you come, remember that you will be a blessing to someone who needs you.
