Psalm 39:1 ESV (English Standard Version)
I said, “I will guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, so long as the wicked are in my presence.”

PASTOR'S COMMENTARY

The words we speak have the power to potentially heal or hurt. Understanding this, King David vowed not to sin by speaking words that were not pleasing to the LORD.

The words we speak among unbelievers is a testimony to what’s in our hearts. Our verbal conversations can draw or drive those who hear us away from our Savior. Like David, there are times we need to put a muzzle over our mouths.

This morning's message will reveal the danger of ill-advised words spoken in pride. Our prayer is that we will all learn to think before we speak.

Looking forward to sharing God’s Word with the saints of NPG this morning at 10:00.
