I heard a song this morning that intrigued me. The singer speaking of his often confrontations with the devil, said "This Means War!" I saw this as an open declaration of war against the enemy of our soul.
Even though we are assured of victory, the battle is constant and continuous. Satan is a defeated foe, and he knows it. But this fact does not stop him from waging war against the followers of the One who defeated him.
The problem I see is that we spend too much time on the "defense," and little, if any on the "offense." Christians are not trained how to fight and then live a life of defeat. Like the military, soldiers need "Basic Training" before they are ready and capable to wage war. That training takes place on Sunday morning during Bible School and Wednesday evening at Bible Training.
Most of you (if not all), who read my monthly blog already are actively involved in both and I want to commend and thank you for that. Just remember, when things happen, or don't go the way you want, just tell the devil, this means WAR!
